I had another set that was very similar to this one, but my mom tried them out and loved them so much that I ended up giving them to her. : )
So far I like this set a bit better, as the bottom's are quite as rounded (ie. a little more stable).
You really need very little water when using these - if you add too much you'll have to dab your eggs dry with a paper towel.
Though this is also convenient because less water in the pot means that much sooner the water boils and you can get to cooking.
For me, I like to cook these for exactly six minutes. They have the perfect "in between" consistency of cooked and dippy.
If you prefer them very dippy, try five minutes. And likewise, if you prefer them mostly cooked through, try seven to eight minutes.
It really depends on your personal preference, so you may have to experiment a couple times.
Once you figure it out though it comes out the same way every time, which I love. <3
Again, just make sure there's not too much water (I add about an inch or so to the bottom of the pot) and that you only add the egg cups AFTER the water has come to a boil (otherwise the cooking times I mentioned above won't line up).
Also, muy importante, you should always use a lid to cover your pot with. This helps to make sure that the egg is cooked evenly.
I also spray the bottoms with Pam (you could use butter or something of the like though) to keep the egg from sticking.
If you do this, the eggs will slip out perfectly and cleaning the cups is a breeze. Just give them a wipe down and they're good.
Overall, for this price especially ($4.95 for a pack of four cups at the time of writing this review), this is an amazing deal and I'd purchase this again in a heartbeat.
I never knew how easy and just how much I loved poached eggs until I got these.
Ps. Oh, I almost forgot! The petals on the rims of the cup are especially helpful!
My last ones didn't have that, so I had to use a large spoon to pull them out of the hot water when they were done.
Now I can just grab a petal on either side and pull it out with my hands.
Very convenient design.

These egg poachers are an absolute dream to use. Easy and the eggs come out looking and tasting really good.
The instructions on use were easy to follow. Plus they take up hardly any room for storage as opposed to the other egg poaching methods I explored.
A few tips: *You might need to cook the eggs longer than it says on the instructions. The first time I tried it for 4 minutes and the eggs were not cooked all the way through. The next few times, I kept them in for six and they were perfect. *You definitely need to coat the insides with Pam or the eggs won't come out. *You need to run a spoon around the edges after cooking for the eggs to release.
If you follow those tips, the eggs slide out looking very presentable.
So now I can have my eggs on toast without the side order of guilt.
It’s the cooking process that has driven me to leave this review. First of all, there were absolutely no instruction on use included when they arrived so I looked online. There was a stupid little video. It didn’t show any use of cooking spray so I didn’t use any. First big mistake. The two of the four that were edible I had to scoop out in several pieces to get it out of the damn cup. Secondly, when covered with a lid they filled up with water and became an even bigger mess, soppy, water filled eggs. It was gross. I cannot even begin to explain how disappointed I was. I was going to just throw them away but have decided this piece of crap can go right back to the sender. I’d rather have a pouched egg that is originally placed in a water bath than deal with this piece of crap.

Easy to use. Way better than the silly tipsy 3-sided versions you can find here. Yes, it takes longer to poach eggs in these than if you dropped them straight in the water, but the fancy chef drop method is for one egg at a time whereas with these you can have 4 (or more) cooling at the same time, and it's a lot less finicky!
About 6-7 minutes for medium poached eggs. Oil/spray the insides before you put the egg in or you'll have to dig it out in bits. It's a little awkward to get out of the pot but not hard. I use tongs, tip it against the pot wall a little to let the water drip out, then just dump the egg out onto the plate. Always comes out perfect and in one piece.
Easy to clean. Obviously you should wash them before you use them the first time (like with everything you buy). They sometimes have a white colour or film on them, but nothing that matters.
These make poached eggs a LOT easier, although the need to spray/coat with grease first to get the egg out after defeats any health reasons for poaching vs frying. My 4-year-old also likes to steal these cups to play with. Great all around!
