*Continuous Horsepower ("CHP") is a term used in the treadmill industry for consumer comparison purposes. I had a family package gym membership back in 2013, which I shared with my brother for $150 every 3 months. I paid half and he paid half. Now this is fairly cheap for a gym membership. Especially considering how nice the gym was. Top of the line equipment, a television in front of every single treadmill with its own channel control. Room division for treadmills, adding a touch of privacy. I truly enjoyed going. But here's the thing, when you're going to pay a gym membership, you have to ask yourself two MAJOR questions.
1) Are you actually going to go? So many people spend thousands of dollars a year on gym memberships that when it comes down to it, they rarely if ever use. If you're going to pay your hard earned money, at least go 3 or more times a week and milk it for what it's worth. Not only that, don't focus on one piece of equipment. Run the treadmills and yank on the Bowflexes until they squeak with distress. After all, you're paying for it.
2) Do you have the room in your own home for your own equipment? Obviously, after it's all said and done, by paying most gym memberships for one year or more, you could just as easily have bought a nice piece of exercise equipment, possibly even twice over. Case in point, the $700 a year my local gym charged me and my bro. I understand most people just don't have the space, but for those who do, it certainly behooves you to buy your own equipment. Not to mention, most treadmills and other pieces now come with a folding mechanism. I would never discourage someone from buying a gym membership, as it's a positive advancement towards better health. And if you're financially comfortable enough to basically rent exercise equipment each month, more power to you! It beats taking up space in your own home you could be using for other things. I say, go for it.
As far as the two questions go, the first one for me is a big fat NO and the second fortunately is a yes. I have a spare bedroom in my home with a twin bed for guests allowing me to house a folding treadmill, so I decided on this one. I would have LOVED to spend $1000 or more for a high end gym quality treadmill, but truth is I just couldn't afford it. Furthermore, it's far too great an investment for me anyway, as I'm trying to warm up to the idea of working out more often. Were I to see in a few years or so that I actually WILL use it 3 or more times a week, I would definitely consider buying a more expensive unit. But for now, this machine will do, if it sees fit to last. I can tell you now that it is NOT the highest of quality on the market. Honestly, a king of kings treadmill is going to run you AT LEAST $700 or more. And even still you might not get all the bells and whistles you want. But I can tell you now that if all you want to do is walk and lightly jog to knock off the pounds or maintain a steady weight in the comfort of your own home on your own time, you really wouldn't want to pay anymore than $300. At $287, I suppose the price is right. Here are some key points.
1) The incline level is right for a novice to intermediate workout. There aren't just a gazillion inclines you can put this thing on. Once again, it's just under $300 bucks.
2) I had the devil putting this thing together because I could never get the top frame to line up with the bottom platform. After reading the negative reviews, turns out a lot of folks had the same issue. By some miraculous happening (don't ask me how) I finally aligned it after 2 hours of fiddling. After that it was one and done. No switchboard or wire problems that I can see. Everything else lined up fine. While battling through the alignment process, it crossed my mind several times that I wouldn't have even bothered with this thing if I had read the reviews about the misstep in manufacturing. But after I resolved the issue, I was happy I bought it. Couldn't say the same if I had never gotten the parts to line up.....Keep this in mind. As you MAY be one of the unlucky ones with an assembly problem. Not being able to assemble something can kinda sorta be a deal breaker....
4) The switchboard is easy to understand and I love the preset workouts. You choose the mph you're walking and it shows you the calories burned and mile(s) walked. Nice touch for such a low end treadmill. (Not sure what everyone's complaining about in the way of features. I mean what else could you want it to do? Wash your clothes and fold them? Gimme a break...)
5) The only negative thing I have to say about it is this: If you're a hefty one, maybe don't run on this little guy. I'm not altogether sure I'd feel comfortable doing an all out 'run' on it and I'm a medium 175 lbs. So watch it. Also, it's narrow. Far narrower (I think that's a word) than the Hercules treads they have at the gym. Don't get cocky and spread your legs out all liberally like you have plenty of space. {YA DON'T}. Also, don't watch a couple of the new-fangled videos on Youtube where they're dancing to today's popular songs on a treadmill and think you should do the same with this thing. I wouldn't advice dancing on it at all. A light fist pump at best. But don't go crazy with it.
I think if you practice safety and consider this treadmill's size and caliber, it can be very satisfying and rewarding to use it on a daily basis. Like I said, if the motor sees fit to remain working, I really would be hard-pressed to find any flaws with it in its price range. We'll see. For now, I say it's nice for the price. : )
ASSEMBLY: Fairly easy about 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your skills. I chose this Treadmill because it was not super heavy, super bulky, and can be moved to different areas of the house fairly easy, plus it still serve's the intended purpose. It can be handled an assembled by 1 adult, use 2 if your unsure of your abilities. The machine works fine after assembly, if you plug it in and it doesn't work, first try turning on the power switch located by the power cord. I registered the product Warranty Online through icon Fitness.
CUSTOMER SERVICE: I contacted Welso Customer Service the next day, about 20 to 30 minutes on hold, I used both the phone and online chat service and took the first to answer. I explained it came with broken parts and gave the phone Rep. the Key Numbers off the Parts page in the included Manual, In my case I had to order both the Left and Right Foot Rails and 1 broken Washer Screw from the foot deck. (NO CHARGE) FOOT RAILS are Out of Stock, so this tells you that these are probably broken a lot during shipment. Got a parts confirmation number, so I will update this review after the parts come in. It Will probably be quite some time since they are Out of Stock. The Machine still operates and is safe to use even with the broken parts I have, Locks up into a storage position and has wheels that allow you to relocate it as necessary.
WEIGHT LIMITS: I'm 6', 265 lbs. The actual walking running surface is 16 inches wide by 50 inches long, the speed of this machine is great from the beginner walker to the fastest runners. Since women tend to be smaller in stature then men, this machine works great for women. My daughter is 5' 2" and this machine is perfect for her. I can easily walk and jog on this machine, however I probably would never try and sprint on it at my size, for Women this would work fine. It has 6 programmed work-outs 3 for Fat Burning and 3 for Intensity. It comes with a Cut Off Key and clip to hook to your self, so if you fall the machine stops. The Incline is very small, maybe 5 % and manually adjusted, by lowering the back foot pegs. Remember your also not paying an extremely High Price for a Tread Mill.
RECOMMENDED BUY: If your looking for a Treadmill that fits easily into your home and you can still move it around as needed, while being able to get a good work-out without killing your Bank Account. I recommend this Treadmill for Beginners to Intermediate work-out abilities. If your a Running Nut then this is not for you, you may want to spend the extra dollars to get one of those enormously over priced machines, that have no guarantee they will work any better than this one, and from the reviews I have read on those, many of those come broken and not working. This Welso Treadmill is a Good Machine, decent size, handles a pretty large weight limit, fits great in a small or large home, doesn't kill the Pocket Book. Customer Service is OK, but not the greatest. I did purchase the extended 4 year Parts and Labor Warranty, which also covers normal wear and tear and costs about $65.00 with Tax. If you don't Register your product with ICON Fitness, then your manufacture Warranty is only 30 days for Parts and Labor, after you registered your tread mill you get a 90 day Warranty for free. After 90 Days I believe only the motor is covered for 1 year, but I wouldn't risk it.
IMPORTANT TIPS: 1. It comes with a Thumb Print Heart Rate Monitor, make sure to remove the fine protective film on the display panel before checking your heart rate, it will not be actuate if the film is still in place. 2. Purchase a folding mat if you have hard floors, Stamina Fold-to-Fit Folding Equipment Mat (84-Inch by 36-Inch) sold separately $27.99 on Amazon, and some LifeSpan 100% Silicone Treadmill Belt Lubricant, $14.99 on Amazon, you will needed these for your treadmill to continue to work properly. 3. Purchase the extended Warranty when you register your product with ICON Fitness, this protects you for Parts, Labor and in home Service for the number of years you purchase. With all this said you will have a decent Treadmill in your home with a 4 Year Warranty and the necessities to maintain it for a Grand Total of about $395.00, that includes the treadmill and everything I stated here.
RECOMMENDED:

I can't really judge it much because like I've said l, this is my first and only experience with a treadmill and I've only had it for about 10 days but from what i can personally tell, the motor is really nice and quiet. The apartment I live in is quite small and my room is right next to the living room but with the door closed, you can barely hear it (just a very light humming noise). I've lost 4 pounds even though I only used it 5 times a week for 30-60 minutes with the incline (3 days, then rest, two days, then rest) and I haven't gone over 3.5 mph. I did test it for a few seconds at 7 mph and it was fine but I couldn't last longer than 5 seconds before I slowed it back down to 2.5 mph because I am very unfit.
The treadmill starts at 1 mph and it increases/decreases by .1 unlike some treadmills that increase by 1. If you accidentally go from 1 mph to 10 mph (like I did), fortunately the speed change wasn't too fast so I was able to save myself from the exhaustion of trying to keep up. Phew!
Assembling the treadmill was very easy. With my mom's help, we had it nice and ready in less than 30 minutes. Everything was in the box (although it looked pretty beat up when it arrived, nothing was damaged) but you do need a Phillips screwdriver to screw in 4 screws. Make sure you do it very tightly. The treadmill started squeaking at Day 5 but I just tightened the bolts and it was back to normal.
The treadmill is foldable and if you can't fold it then you did something wrong during your assembly.
The display is nice and there's a place to put your water bottles, books, magazines, phones and/or tablets. I doubt that the pulse monitor is accurate but I don't really care much about that. The display of pretty basic; shows time, calories burnt, speed and distance you ran in miles.
The on/off switch is on the bottom front of the treadmill.
The "key" is hard to clip on but based on my research, most of them are. Taking it off the place where it's supposed to be resets your data.
It has 6 preprogrammed Personal Workouts; 3 weight loss and 3 Intensity Training.
The treadmill belt has Comfort Cell Cushioning and lowers the impact on your joints and whatnot while still burning a lot of calories.
The incline is either 0% or 10%. Nothing more and no in-between unless you get creative and use books or other things to support the treadmill at you desired incline percentage.
The weight limit is 275 lbs.
The product dimensions are 67 × 30 × 10 inches.
The weight is 117 lbs.
The shipping weight is 119 lbs
The price is more than fair. If anything the price is unfair to the seller.
Delivery was super fast. I chose 2 day shipping and it arrived near my apartment door (I believe the carrier was UPS and they did a great job because I wasn't sure I could've lifted it up the flight of stairs) in less than 24 hours since the payment was accepted. I was pleasantly surprised!
Like I've said earlier, I've already lost 4 pounds in the last 10 days (no change in my diet and no other change in my daily physical activity) and I use it 5 times a week for 30-60 minutes with the incline (3 days, then rest, two days, then rest). My normal routine now is to stretch for 5 minutes (recommended stretches are on the booklet they give you with diagrams), walk at 1.5 mph for 3 minutes, then bump it up to 2 mph for 2 minutes which is my 5 minutes warm up, then do the first Weight Loss Workout preprogrammed on the treadmill (30 mins) then a 5 minute cool down at 1.5 mph. I had to take a break during the Weight Loss Workout because like I've said
Overall, you'll be dumb not to get this treadmill if you're looking for one as a first time buyer. Since the speed only goes up to 10 mph, more than enough for me but, if you're a professional runner, you should probably get a more advanced and expensive one. If you're height is above 6 feet and/or if you have really long strides, I'm not sure if this is for you.
But other than those factors, I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT.
I'll do my best to give monthly or bimonthly updates!

- Assemblage facile et rapide, même seul.
- Moteur pas trop bruyant.
- Encombrement assez minime.
1 an : 80$
2 ans: 110$
3 ans: 140$
4 ans: 200$
5 ans: 260$
