Although I paid a pretty penny for this 300 lb set (which includes the 45 lb bar), I still see this a must have in this day of covid.
I love the gym! I’m a former group fitness (spin) instructor (previously teaching 5 days a week), in addition to my 5 days a week of strength training in the gym (pre-covid); But I decided back in May/June that this was my cue to build my own home gym. These weights were one of the main purchases to kick off this transition.
An adjustable incline bench (with a dip attachment), a set of powerblock adjustable dumbbells, a Sunny Fitness Squat rack (with a landmine connection), a separate attachable pulley system and this 300lb set of beautiful cap weights is the start of what will yield great gains in my basement. Who needs all of those other useless/not as effective gym machines??!
Although to complete my gym, I bought a few other things from Titan (ie decline bench, hyper-extension and tibia machines along with a couple of bar attachments for the land mine), this is way more than enough.
Speaking on this set though, its an absolutely beautiful set. The weights are brand new (no rust on them or the bar). I love the handles on the weights, for easy use. I love the black bar.
Everything came perfectly wrapped in plastic and boxes delivered on a wooden pallet without a scratch in sight. It was as if they came hot off the metal press. Beautiful beautiful set! I can’t stress that enough!! I was a little apprehensive about the $800 price tag but after seeing them, it was $800 very well spent. After all, we’re living in the times of covid. I went back on the page tonight and saw that this same set has increased to over $900! Blame that on another covid lockdown put in place this week!
I just received it yesterday after ordering it less than a week ago. I’m doing the happy dance right now and couldn’t wait to write this review.
I’ll follow up this post once the home gym is complete with more pictures. All these months not working out due to covid lockdowns were well worth it for this gift. Its my holiday gift to me!
Glad my weights weren’t rusted like i read from other reviewers. I couldn’t be happier with this set!!!

Look, I've been into strength training off and on for 10+ years. I am by no means a "professional" but I know enough and by buying this product I was fully aware that this is a "cheaper" made product. I bought this as a cost effective solution for pushing weight and building my home-gym as a starting point. I purchased this back in 2019 and I still have good things to say for the weights... They have some bumps from the initial molding, but... I expected that due to the cost (you get what you pay for).
The main dangerous issue is the barbell. When I received the package years ago, I found a little bit of rust and some squirly bolts. After a quick tighten and scrub, there were no issues and I concluded, once again, you get what you pay for and this is still a good value.... Now... Fast forward in time for a bit...
After consistent working out and reracking the barbell, I noticed this barbell is painted... Okay... Weird, but didnt think too much about it. The barbell continued to get worn down after normal handling procedures (I dont "bro" out and slam my weights). One normal workout day, I'm getting a good session in and after using the barbell I simply wipe some sweat off my face with my fingers and... IMMEDIATE PAIN... What happened? It felt like I just scraped my whole face on some concrete... I immediately checked the mirror and on further inspection the barbell's paint and metal are creating very fine stabby "slivers" that just tore up my face.... Seriously???
I had to get my wife and some tweezers to dig them all out. Could you imagine if I just naturally wiped sweat around my eye that day? That would've been an expensive hospital visit... After that incident and moving away from my ego I did one more test... I got some high-beam lights and just dropped the barbell from 1inch onto my power rack (hardly a "slam")... With the lighting, I was able to see a smoke cloud of metal shavings come off of the bar... So... Now I could be risking my lungs with this each time I workout??? CAP... This is just pure negligence and waiting for a lawsuit to happen.
Buyer's... Do NOT buy this barbell... Spend $300+ on something that will last for decades.
Shame on me for "getting a good deal".. Look somewhere else.
